Porta Romana’s skilled metalworkers have mastered oval arcs which allow each of the three Salvatore Nest of Tables to slot effortlessly within each other. Many Porta Romana pieces are fully customisable. Products can be scaled up or down, proportions can be changed, and designs can be painted to your choice. I’m a big fan of the Salvatore nest because its slender, burnt-silver frame and clear glass tops feel light and unconfined, making it perfect for tight city flats or open-plan living rooms. The simple silhouette works equally well in contemporary, industrial or even Scandi-inspired interiors, and the trio of tables can be split up as individual side tables or nested together when you need to save space.
Styling-wise, keep the look clean: pair them with a single sculptural vase or a small stack of design books on the largest table, then add a tealight or tiny pot plant to the smaller ones for balance. Because they’re easy to move, they’re also ideal for flexible entertaining - just pull out the extra tables when guests come over.
