This is surely Porta Romana's most iconic piece. It was inspired by a visit to a surrealist exhibition, and we love it, especially in its feathered shades. The idea for The Duck Feet Lamp was first inspired by the furniture designs of surrealist artist Meret Oppenheim. It is expertly cast in brass and then hand finished in Porta Romana's British workshop. Decayed Gold shown with 11" Top Hat in Warm Grey Ostrich with Warm Grey Satin Lining. Many Porta Romana pieces are fully customisable. Products can be scaled up or down, proportions can be changed, and designs can be painted to your choice. I love this lamp because it combines structural whimsy with luxe materials, making it a standout piece. The duck feet base adds a quirky, sculptural element that works really well in eclectic or contemporary interiors, especially when paired with rich textures and muted colour palettes. It’s perfect for living rooms or bedrooms where you want to introduce a touch of personality without overwhelming the space. For styling tips, consider placing it on a side table or console to highlight its unique design, and keep surrounding accessories minimal to let the lamp do the talking. Its decayed gold finish and feather detail also lend themselves to a glamorous, yet relaxed aesthetic-think plush fabrics and layered surfaces for a balanced look.
