Made of layers of forged steel, the Hanzo table lamp is assembled with various lengths of cut and joined steel bars, creating a sharp and broken verticality in a unique sculptural form. Many Porta Romana pieces are fully customisable. Products can be scaled up or down, proportions can be changed, and designs can be painted to your choice. Styling is straightforward: keep the top surface simple with a pair of small lamps or sculptural vases, a shallow tray for keys or jewellery, and perhaps a single piece of artwork or mirror hung just above. The lower shelf is ideal for low baskets or neatly stacked books, which helps maintain the console’s airy feel while adding subtle texture.
