Our Stylist Says
I love this small vessel lamp for its sleek, contemporary look that balances function and style effortlessly. The smoke shaded glass adds a sophisticated, moody tone that works well in modern or minimalist interiors, while the chrome base lends a subtle touch of glamour. It's versatile enough to sit on a bedside table, console, or open shelving, providing ambient lighting without overpowering the space. For styling tips, pair it with neutral-toned accessories to highlight its reflective qualities or use it alongside softer textures like velvet cushions or woven textiles to create visual interest. Its compact size makes it perfect for areas where space is limited, but it still makes a stylish statement.

About BHS.com
Historical Roots
British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.
Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.
Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!
Expansion and Evolution
BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.
They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
