Description

Tripod floor lamps have an iconic style that grabs attention in any setting, but with the Plume floor lamp you get an extra decorative twist courtesy of the unique feather shade, so you’re sure to make a statement in any interior with this piece! This floor lamp has a sleek brass tripod structure that’ll look great in a modern setting, whilst the white feather shade adds eclectic style to your decors and diffuses the light for a softer, more ambient glow.

Our Stylist Says

I love this feather tripod floor lamp for adding a touch of whimsy and comfort to both contemporary and vintage-inspired interiors. Its soft, textured shade creates a warm, inviting glow that can instantly soften a room's atmosphere. It works particularly well in cosy reading nooks, bedrooms, or living spaces where a statement piece is desired without overwhelming the overall design. Styling tips include pairing it with muted, neutral colours to let the brass finish and fluffy shade stand out, or use it alongside plush textiles for a layered, tactile look. For practical placement, position it where it can serve as both task and ambient lighting, such as beside a comfy armchair or a sofa, to maximise its cosy appeal.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
