Berlin designer Lukas Bazle took inspiration from nature to create this decorative, functional lamp based on kinetic energy. Plié Plissé lets you choose the intensity and direction of the light. When the shade is unfolded, the light is soft and diffused: perfect for lighting up the whole room at dinners, parties. Fold the shade and the lamp shines down more intensely, making it easier to work or read a book. As if dancing tutu-style, the Plié Plissé lampshade moves to the rhythm of your day. The adjustable lampshade is made of two nested volumes made of polyester fabric pleated in a honeycomb pattern. Delicacy, grace and lightness perfectly characterise this pendant. Born out of experiments with textiles and designed like a dancer’s tutu, Plié Plissé’s pleating and sheer size make its graphics truly captivating. The lines of its skirt are repeated, punctuating the space it occupies. Plié Plissé offers a wonderful interplay of shadows and light thanks to the different thicknesses of the fabric in the folds. The finish is splendid: vivid, vibrant, soft and warm, the light seems to come alive with movement.
