Originally designed by Warren Platner in 1966, the iconic Platner Lounge Chair in metallic bronze and Alpaca fabric upholstery has been crafted by Knoll since it was introduced. Exquisitely crafted by welding hundreds of curved, bronze-painted steel rods to the circular frame, the Platner Lounge Chair is accented with the tactile alpaca upholstery. Crafted from 60% alpaca with a new wool blend that creates a resilient and supple effect, the Alpaca fabric lends the chair a super-soft finish. Effortlessly sculptural, the chair is an icon of modern design that would enhance any space with its clean lines and refined finish. Having studied at Cornell University with a degree in architecture and collaborated with legends such as Raymond Loewy, Eero Saarinen and I.M. Pei, Warren Platner is renowned across the globe for his iconic collection for Knoll.
