Description
Some planters sit in a room, and some settle into it as if they have always been there. The IDEALIST plaited style cylinder is the second kind: its body is wrapped in a hand-finished woven effect that echoes traditional basket plaiting, band over band in soft relief, while three tapered wooden legs lift the drum into a light mid-century silhouette that needs no separate plant stand. The handcrafted stony matte finish comes in two quiet neutrals, a soft chalk white and a warm greige, so the same gentle form calms Scandi, Japandi, coastal and modern cottage schemes alike. Made in the UK market specification from a durable fibreglass-reinforced stone, each planter carries subtle traces of manual production, tiny chips, scuffs and pits that are part of its handcrafted character rather than faults. Practicality is built into the beauty. The integrated stand raises foliage to a comfortable viewing height beside chairs, consoles and bedside tables, and because there are no drainage holes your floors, sills and carpets stay spotless: keep your plant in its nursery pot inside, or add a pebble drainage layer for direct planting. Two sizes cover every indoor ambition: the D20 H35 cylinder holds 8.7 litres for pilea, calathea, ferns and fuller pothos, while the D26 H46 steps up to monstera, rubber plants and peace lilies with room to grow.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
