Description

The dynamic Piton Side Table in black was designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby for Knoll in 2015, showcasing an elegant ebonised oak table top inspired by mid-century sewing stools. Taking direction from geometry and minimalism, the Piton Side Table showcases an uncomplicated aesthetic, with a three-legged die-cast aluminium base that is powder-coated in black for resilience. Inspired by the stools used by seamstresses during the mid-century, the Piton Side Table appears industrial while maintaining a contemporary feel. Featuring a uniquely grained ebonised oak surface, the Piton Side Table is the ultimate synthesis of industrial metals and natural wood materials, awarding it a welcoming and minimalist style.

Our Stylist Says

I love this side table for its sleek yet sturdy design, making it versatile for both modern and traditional interiors. Its black finish combined with ebonised oak offers a sophisticated colour palette that works well in monochrome schemes or layered with natural textures. It's ideal for small spaces, functioning perfectly as a bedside table or a place to rest a drink or a book in the living room. For styling, consider pairing it with minimalist accessories like a decorative tray or a small plant to keep the look clean and uncluttered. Its sculptural form also lends itself well to layering with other furniture pieces for an understated, thoughtful arrangement.
