The legendary Pipistrello lamp is back in version 4. 0. This version is equipped with Tunable White LED technology which lets you control and personalise your lighting using a free app that can be activated and used via Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet. This Pipistrello lamp is able to reproduce the dynamics of natural light thanks to the possibility of modulating the colour temperature of the LEDs. According to their needs or necessities, the user can modify the shade of white as they wish through the CASAMBI app (compatible with Apple and Android), which makes it possible to adjust the white light from 2500 K to 6700 K while managing to enhance the finest shades, improving the quality of perception and highlighting a high quality of chromatic rendering (Ra 90) without altering the colours. A cult design object, the Pipistrello lamp was created by Gae Aulenti in 1965. This lamp with its wavy-shaped lampshade looks like a bat (“pipistrello” in Italian). The spread wings are captured just before they open up completely. It’s in this momentum frozen in time that the real power of the value, emotion and style of this design icon are found. This lamp gives off a diffuse light. The diffuser, made from opal white methacrylate, sits on a conical coloured aluminium base. Mythical and displayed in the greatest museums around the world, Pipistrello is one of those objects that have become part of our universal heritage. Original model created in 1965. Lamp made in Italy by the Martinelli Luce factory.
