This chair belongs to the range of the popular PIP-e armchairs designed by famous Philippe Starck. PIP-e is a simply elegant and functional chair. Philippe Starck takes up the lines of the Dick Deck wooden chair he created for Driade in 1987 and makes an updated version by employing new technologies. It is a real technological feat: this polypropylene monobloc consists of tubes that have been created by a process of emptying the tubes it consists of through gas assisted injection. The latter allows injecting gas into the legs of the chair to make it lightweight (less than 5 kg). The ribs that the structure is made of bring visual lightness. Available in four colours: white, orange, yellow, grey.
I love this stackable plastic chair for its sleek, minimalist design and practicality. Its understated grey tone makes it incredibly versatile, working well in modern, contemporary, or even industrial interiors. The fact that it stacks means it’s excellent for multi-purpose spaces or areas where flexible seating is needed, such as dining rooms, outdoor patios, or commercial settings. When styling around this chair, consider pairing it with a simple wooden or glass table for a clean look, or add colourful cushions to soften its appearance and bring in warmth. It’s also an easy piece to mix and match with other materials and colours, making it a flexible choice for dynamic interiors.
