PIP is an armchair of simple elegance and functionality that is certainly going to become a classic! For this 2007 Milanese exhibition New In, Philippe Starck uses the lines of the Dick Deck wooden chair he created for Driade in 1987 and makes an updated version by employing new technologies. It is a real technological feat: this polypropylene monobloc consists of tubes that have been created by a process of emptying the tubes it consists of. The structure ribs bring visual lightness. Available in four colours: white, orange, yellow, grey.
I love the Pip-e stackable armchair for its sleek, minimal design and versatile functionality. Its clean white plastic shape makes it ideal for contemporary dining spaces, especially in environments where practicality and style merge - think outdoor patios, casual kitchens, or modern cafes. The fact that it’s stackable means it’s perfect for spaces that require flexible seating arrangements or easy storage. When styling, I’d recommend pairing it with colourful cushions or using it within neutral-toned interiors to keep things crisp and modern. It also works well with a variety of table styles, from wood to glass, and can be dressed up with textiles or left as a statement in its pared-back simplicity.
