PLEASE NOTE: cushion cover sold on its own (filling sold separately). The Karhuemo ("mother bear") pattern was designed by Aino-Maija Metsola, Finnish nature-loving illustrator and designer. Passionate about colour, she designs prints with simple, poetic patterns. The Karhuemo pattern is a new take on a plant print that Aino-Maija Metsola created for Marimekko's 70th birthday. Among the flowers and leaves of the original sketch, Aino-Maija added a bear with her cub. The ground rumbles under the galloping mother bear, as the baby rises onto its hind legs to observe the land. Chic and graphic, the collection of textiles designed by Marimekko brings new life to your interior! Created in 1951, Marimekko is a state of mind, a way of life based on creativity, freedom of spirit and inventiveness. Its notoriety dates back to 1960, the year in which Jackie Kennedy made several public appearances in dresses designed by Marimekko. The brand went on to enjoy enormous success, which continues today with a range of clothing and decorative accessories in vibrant colours, for a house full of inspiration!.
