Description
This duvet cover is decorated with the Piekana pattern created by Japanese designer Fujiwo Ishimoto in 1983. The Piekana pattern was originally part of a collection inspired by a book tracing the lives of the Finno-Ugric people (a group of people from Europe of which Finland is part). The brightly coloured geometric patterns evoke ikat, an ancestral Indonesian weaving and colouring technique. Cheerful, chic and graphic, the Marimekko textile collection brings your interior to life! Adopt the bright colours and bold prints of the legendary Finnish fashion house. Created in 1951, Marimekko is a state of mind, a way of life based on creativity, freedom of spirit and inventiveness. Its notoriety dates back to 1960, the year in which Jackie Kennedy made several public appearances in dresses designed by Marimekko. The brand went on to enjoy enormous success, which continues today with a range of clothing and decorative accessories in vibrant colours, for a house full of inspiration!.
