Description

The Pickmere is your classic farmhouse shaker style solid wooden bed frame. The bed is made from solid pine wood, with a modern mid-grey finish, and features oak stain finish wood trims on the headboards and footboards. The contrast trim adds a subtle fusion of colour bringing warmth and style to the traditional design. The bed frame has a solid slatted base for durability. The timeless design of the Pickmere will suit any bedroom style, and will never look dated.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Pickmere grey bed for its versatile and understated style, making it a great focal point in both modern and traditional interiors. The solid pine construction offers durability and a natural, tactile quality that pairs well with neutral, muted, or even bold colour schemes. It works particularly well in contemporary spaces with clean lines, but can also blend seamlessly with rustic or Scandinavian-inspired schemes. Practical styling tips include layering neutral and textured bedding to enhance its natural finish, and adding colourful cushions or throws for visual interest. It’s a dependable choice that grounds a bedroom, allowing the rest of your décor and accessories to take centre stage.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
