Description

The Philips Econic LED wall lantern allows you to expand Hue technology outside. Designed with an integrated LED module, this innovative outdoor light has millions of colour options so that you can create any ambience you prefer, as well as away-from-home control and scheduling features. The Econic offers a high light output. Philips Hue Light Control Set the right ambience outside and structure your preferred lighting style around the seasons. Warm white light is ideal in summer, while cool daylight is better in winter. For special occasions, enjoy 16 million colours and all shades of white light to create the exact effect you want. Highlight pathways or objects outdoors with colourful scenes or slow-moving dynamics and make your space stand out. Requires Philips Hue Bridge A Philips Hue Bridge is required for smart lighting control and available to purchase separately. Once connected, you'll experience the full potential of this smart light and can use the Philips Hue app to control it from your smart phone or tablet. > IP44 rated This light is specially designed for use in outdoor environments and has undergone rigorous testing to ensure its performance. Its IP44 rating and high-quality aluminium and tempered glass construction means that it's protected against splashing water from any direction. Set schedules Use the sunset/sunrise routine or create your own lighting schedule so that your Philips Hue light will turn on automatically, at your own convenience. It can also be dimmed this way so that you can enjoy longer evenings outside or put the rubbish out just after sunset. You can also set lights to welcome you home, for peace of mind while you're away. Either use the Philips Hue outdoor sensor, or set the Hue app to Home or Away mode to switch on all your lights. Worth Knowing To create a more innovative look, this light has been designed to incorporate the LED within it. This LED is not replaceable but has a lifespan of up to 25,000 hours. LEDs use around 85% less energy than incandescent bulbs.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this wall lantern because of its sleek, timeless black finish and versatile lighting options. It works well in modern or traditional exteriors, adding a touch of sophistication while providing functional illumination. A key styling tip is to position it alongside contemporary garden furniture or textured brickwork for a cohesive look. The fact that it offers colour-changing ambient lighting makes it perfect for outdoor entertaining or creating a cosy atmosphere on cooler evenings. When styling, consider pairing it with simple, understated features to let its clean lines and lighting capabilities really stand out, ensuring your outdoor space feels both practical and visually appealing.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
