Description
In search of the "perfect light", Poul Henningsen designed the "PH" collection of lighting fixtures to get as close as possible to Natural light. These lamps are encircled by metal lampshades that act as reflectors, guaranteeing soft, glare-free, diffused light. The lamps provide extremely comfortable, efficient light distribution, mainly downwards, but also in a more subdued form to the sides. The design makes it impossible to see the light source directly, making it totally glare-free. The PH 80 Floor lamp was created in 1974, after Poul Henningsen's death, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of his birth. The opal Acrylic Lampshades add a touch of freshness and a pleasantly diffused ambient light. The red tone of the top Reflector of this original model gives an intense, warm glow to the light. The black version of PH 80 features a black top plate and a white top reflector for a sleek, elegant look and pleasing light distribution. The base and socket are matt black, contrasting with the opal acrylic shades for a more graphic look. The white version introduces a 100% white minimalist style to the PH 80 series, with its all-white top reflector, top plate and base.
