Designed by Poul Henningsen, the PH pendant was shown for the first time at the Copenhagen Art & Design Museum in 1958. A real Scandinavian design icon, it is one of the best-selling pendants in Denmark. In search of the "perfect light", Poul Henningsen designed the "PH" collection of lights to get as close as possible to natural light. These lamps surrounded by metal shades which play the role of reflectors, guarantee a diffuse, gentle light with no glare. These ceiling lights ensure an extremely comfortable and efficient diffusion of the light, mainly directed downwards, but which also leaves from the sides in a more subdued form. Due to its design, it is impossible to directly see the light source, which means there is absolutely no glare. It can be hung quite low above a dining table, or in the middle of the room in a higher position. It can be equipped with powerful light power all the while remaining comfortable on the eye. This pendant is made up of three spherical lampshades mounted on a cone. The lampshades are connected by white metal rods. This pendant with its vintage style still appeals to design fans all over the world today.
