Description

The Petro Iridescent Pendant brings geometrical minimalism into your home, creating a wonderfully modern statement piece for your ceilings. The spherical light maintains an understated appearance and makes a statement with its immaculate sense of design. The nickel accents give the pendant an additional vintage look that works well in both vintage homes, and perhaps a modern décor in need of colour.

Our Stylist Says

This glass pendant is a striking choice that brings a contemporary feel to any space. I love its iridescent finish, which subtly reflects light and adds a gentle shimmer - perfect for creating a relaxed, modern vibe. It's especially versatile, working well in minimalist interiors or paired with mid-century modern decor for a touch of elegance. For styling, consider hanging it over a dining table, kitchen island, or even a cosy corner to introduce a focal point. Keep the surrounding palette neutral to let the glass shine or complement it with other metallic accents for cohesion. Practical tip: opt for warm bulbs to enhance the iridescent glow and maximise its visual impact.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
