It all starts with Printemps… For the launch of its new platform at the end of March 2022, the Printemps brand is unveiling a new identity built around three colours: green and white, punctuated with a few touches of gold. To celebrate the revival of Printemps (French for Spring), discover exclusive collaborations showcasing this new chromatic range, and in particular, green available in all its tones. To mark the occasion, the iconic design pieces and future must-haves of the season are dressed up in green: these special, exclusive editions in the colours of Printemps are unique gifts for design fans. Some limited edition pieces are future collectors’ items. French designer Axel Chay offers his Modulation floor lamp in a version with reduced dimensions: “Petite Modulation”. With its linear design, the Petite Modulation floor lamp dresses your room with its graphic, colourful presence. The simple form, both enigmatic and playful, irresistibly attracts attention and stimulates the imagination. This folded steel tube forming a loop evokes an industrial pipe, given a twist by its deep green colour. The opaline glass globe punctuates the silhouette, providing soft, warm light. A style both full of fantasy yet refined. Anything superfluous has been eliminated to keep only what is essential. The Petite Modulation floor lamp won’t go unnoticed - it will become a centrepiece in your decor. French designer Axel Chay has a knack for developing a daring language of shapes and colours, borrowing here and there, especially from the 80s, like a Julio le Parc curve or the nostalgic silhouette of an Italian terrace on a summer’s evening, which explode into view. A well-intended slap for conventional design and predictable furniture. With its rudimentary curved shape, lost between a feeling of regression and technical distinction, the tube calls out with its power of interpretation. Modulation rounds off the angles with dexterity, revealing graceful curves, reassuring shapes. This high-quality sculptural piece is handcrafted in Marseille.
I love this little desk lamp for its playful yet modern silhouette. Its bold green hue makes it a great statement piece, particularly in contemporary or eclectic interiors. The unique twisted design allows it to work well both as a functional light source and a decorative element. I’d suggest styling it in a cosy reading nook or on a sleek home office desk to inject a pop of colour and character. Practical tips include pairing it with minimalist accessories to direct attention to the lamp’s fun shape, or layering it with other textured materials for a more eclectic vibe. It’s versatile enough to sit comfortably in various schemes, brightening up neutral spaces or complementing a colourful palette.
