Description
The Persian Colors rugs are available in a wonderful palette of natural, deep and soothing hues: lichen green, pollen yellow, charcoal grey, scarlet red and lichen green. The craftsmanship and thousand-year-old tradition of Persian weaving form the basis of this collection of soft and bright rugs with a pure and essential look. These rugs made from Afghan wool are woven with Persian knots, according to a laborious manual process which enriches the fabric to give it a greater density and an extremely soft texture. The Persian knot is an essential element of Persian art and culture. Its origin is in the nomadic tribes of Persia, where rugs were an essential asset so that the people could protected themselves from the winter and often marked the borders of their homes in the desert. Each thread and each knot transports us into the world and origin of Persian rugs. Because the collection is hand-woven, the rugs' colours are irregular and reflect the value of ancient manual techniques. Depending on the orientation and the light, the colour of the rug takes on more or less pronounced hues. This luxurious rug lends softness and warmth to the most minimalist décor.
