Perch Vase glass brown / Large - Ø 12.5 x H 32 cm - Serax

Serax Perch Vase: A Slender Silhouette Brought to Life by a BirdWith the Perch Large Vase, Kelly Wearstler has designed a glass piece for Serax that is as decorative as it is poetic. Its tall, gently curved silhouette is brought to life by an unexpected detail: a small glass bird perches on the rim of the vase, as if it had chosen the vase as its roost. Available in amber or Clear Glass with an amber bird, this large model measures Ø 12.5 × H 32 cm. A moment of everyday life transformed into an objectThe idea for the Perch collection is said to have been inspired after Kelly Wearstler noticed a small bird perched on a doorknob. The designer transposes this scene into a series of glass accessories where the bird perches on vases, bowls, trays, or carafes. The name “Perch” thus takes on its full meaning. This interplay between a simple form and a figurative presence perfectly reflects Kelly Wearstler’s approach. The American designer enjoys juxtaposing styles and embraces a creative process rooted in contrasts—between the contemporary and the vintage, the raw and the refined. What flowers should you choose for a 32-cm-tall Vase?At 32 cm tall, the Perch Large vase is particularly well-suited for vertical bouquets, slender branches, or a few long stems. Its 12.5 cm diameter maintains a slender silhouette, allowing you to create an airy arrangement without obscuring the little bird perched on the glass. Where should you place a tall, decorative vase? The Perch Large vase naturally finds its place on a console table, a dresser, or a table where its height can be fully showcased. It can also be displayed on its own, without flowers—the little bird and the vase’s silhouette are enough to give it a truly decorative presence. Which Perch finish should you choose? The amber version completely envelops the vase in a warm, deep hue. The transparent amber version with an amber bird plays more on the contrast between the vessel’s transparency and the bird’s color, making the bird the focal point of the arrangement. With its slender shape and whimsical figurative detail, the Perch Large vase transforms a simple object into a small decorative scene. A creation that adds a touch of poetry to both a floral arrangement and a shelf left almost bare.
