I’m a fan of this all-glass Venetian mirror for its clean, bevelled edges that subtly amplify natural light - it works equally well in a modern flat or a more traditional interior. Hang it above a slim console in a hallway to visually expand a narrow space, or use it over a sideboard in a living room to bounce light around darker corners. For styling, position it at eye level and keep surrounding décor simple: a pair of tall candlesticks or a ceramic vase either side creates symmetry, while a small tray or sculptural bowl on the console below adds functional interest. In a bathroom, swap out a standard framed mirror for this piece to introduce a touch of understated glamour without clashing with existing tiles or paint.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
