A combination of traditional and current modernism for an exceptional seat, designed to overlook the seafront promenade in Denmark. Pavilion was created especially to furnish the Langelinie Pavilion, an historic post-war building. Rebuilt for the third time in 1958 by the architects couple, Eva and Niels Koppel, this pavilion located in the grounds of Kastellet castle, in Copenhagen, pays homage to modernism. With its slender and airy silhouette, the Pavilion stacking chair blends harmoniously into any interior. Its tubular steel base is fine and delicate. Combined with a seat and backrest in lacquered wood, Pavilion provides elegance, grace and lightness. The designers of this chair, Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll, explain that Pavilion has: "a soft aesthetic inside an outline that is completely curves, hardly visible". What a way to give your room a lyrical and poetic touch.
The Pavilion AV1 stacking chair is a sleek, versatile piece that effortlessly combines minimalism with functionality. I love how its lacquered wood finish adds a sophisticated touch, making it suitable for both modern and Scandi-inspired interiors. It works particularly well in spaces where practicality is key, such as dining rooms or versatile meeting areas, thanks to its stackability. Styling tips include pairing it with a contemporary glass or wooden table for a clean look, or contrasting it with soft textiles and colour accents to soften its sleek lines. This chair is great for creating a stylish, flexible dining setup that can easily be stored away when not needed.
