Price History

Description

The Patty table lamp is a 70’s Miami inspired piece that is perfect for creating a charming retro image with a distinctively modern twist, helping you to combine old and new for a seriously stylish look. With a dominant white colour thanks to the opal glass , the lamp has a bright look that’s perfect for a light and cheerful interior, whilst the dark wood and brass accents give a vintage hint to the room. A white linen shade completes the look, giving subtle diffusion and a softer glow.

Our Stylist Says

I love this lamp for its clean, modern aesthetic and versatile design. Its white finish and simple silhouette make it a great addition to contemporary or minimalist interiors, but it can also effortlessly complement scandi or coastal styles. The stacked design adds a subtle sculptural element without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include placing it on a bedside table for a calming, functional nightlight or using it on a console or sideboard to introduce ambient lighting in living rooms. Keep accessories minimal around it to really let its shape stand out, or pair it with natural textures like wood or linen for a cosy yet polished look.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
