Description
An original abstract acrylic painting on cardboard. Alain Castoriano spent years working as an award-winning art director before starting his career as a painter, showcasing his first solo exhibition in Paris in 2005. Preferring to call his artworks 'things' rather than paintings, he creates crowded abstract pieces famed for their use of shape and colour.
Our Stylist Says
I love this piece because of its bold, minimalist appeal-it works especially well in modern or contemporary interiors that embrace clean lines and understated palettes. The dark, textured block introduces a striking focal point without overwhelming the space, making it perfect for feature walls in living rooms or bedrooms. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral or muted decor to let the artwork stand out or incorporate subtle accent colours in cushions or accessories that echo its tone. It’s versatile enough to sit solo as a statement piece or combined with other artworks for a layered gallery wall look. Keep framing simple-such as a slim black or natural wood border-to maintain the artwork’s modern edge.
