I’m a big fan of this velvet double bed in porcelain for its clean lines and soft, neutral hue - it instantly lifts a room without shouting for attention. The subtle tufting and slender timber legs make it a versatile choice, slipping seamlessly into Scandi-inspired schemes or a pared-back contemporary bedroom. To style it, layer on textured linen bedding in muted greys or oatmeal tones, then add a couple of accent cushions in burnt ochre or forest green to introduce warmth. Position a low bedside table in oak or brass beside it and hang a simple wall sconce on either side rather than tall lamps, so the headboard remains the focal point. Finish with a wool-pile rug underfoot to ground the look.
