Description
The Pao pendant was created by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, one of the biggest names in contemporary design, who is working with Hay for the first time. To design Pao, Naoto Fukasawa was inspired by Mongolian yurts which cast a spellbinding light at night when illuminated from within. The result of exceptional craftsmanship, this pendant is made entirely of hand-blown opaline glass. The highly glossy finish reflects the light. Inside the lampshade, a matt opaline glass diffuser completely conceals the integrated LED light source for perfect aesthetics and optimal lighting. The Pao pendant provides optimal lighting: homogeneous and non-dazzling. The love that designer Naoto Fukasawa has for simple, beautiful things, for all that’s universal and emanates from everyday life, is evident in this project. The functionality and deliberate simplicity of the Pao lamp makes it suitable for a wide range of spaces.
