I’m a fan of the Panama chest in pine because its warm, knotty finish brings a relaxed, natural feel without looking overly rustic. It works especially well in Scandi-inspired or coastal settings, but equally complements a modern farmhouse scheme by adding texture and subtle character.
For styling, keep the top clear or gently layered - a slim table lamp, a small stack of books and a pot plant make an uncluttered vignette. Colour-block or label the drawers inside to keep linens or wardrobe bits organised, and try pairing the chest with white or muted-grey walls to let the pine stand out.
