I’m a fan of the Palma table in its natural finish because its simple, sculptural base and soft oval top feel both modern and approachable. The light oak tone works particularly well in Scandi, Japandi or contemporary coastal schemes, pairing easily with muted textiles and greenery.
For styling, keep centrepieces low and textural - think a linen runner, ceramic bowls or a cluster of small vases. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
