Our Padstow round wooden extending dining table with pedestal legs with oak effect stain is all about that chic rustic farmhouse style. This table will comfortably seat 4 when closed and 6 when extended. With clean lines, sturdy design, rounded edges to the table top and sitting on four feet jutting from that central pedestal leg, this table will look fab in any modern home, whether you're going for warm neutrals, that French elegant cottage look or even as part of an eclectic maximalist space. Constructed from solid rubberwood with a warm stain, this extendable dinner table is sturdy, durable and will look great while doing it. The Padstow uses a simple butterfly mechanism - gently pull on either end of the table to 'open' the sliding mechanism and reveal the extension piece concealed under the top. Lift and unfold the extension piece to create the additional length.

For evening meals, place slim pillar candles in black or brass holders to introduce contrast and atmosphere.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
