I’m a fan of the Padstow sideboard in oak for its clean lines, woven front panels and sturdy black metal plinth - it strikes a balance between natural texture and modern form. It slots straight into Scandi-inspired, coastal or relaxed contemporary schemes and works equally well as a TV unit or hallway console.
To style, keep the top pared back: a round mirror overhead, two or three sculptural vases in complementary tones and a low stack of books or a neat tray for keys. Inside, use matching baskets or boxes to corral smaller items and maintain that uncluttered look.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
