A resolutely eco-responsible table… TIPTOE's mission is to offer sustainable furniture, better thought out and better produced. The Pacifico coffee table in recycled plastic bears witness to this: a piece that looks resolutely towards the future of furniture. This creation proves it’s possible to create objects from recycled plastic that are both beautiful, timeless and durable. Resulting from an innovative manufacturing process, the Pacifico table top is made from PET plastic packaging. The plastic waste collected is reduced to chips and then pressed (without adding binder) to form the top. A mix of colour and transparency, translucent blue is dotted with bursts of colour echoing the fragile corals of the oceans. The speckled pattern also evokes terrazzo, the star material of decoration. All the nuances of this original translucent material are revealed according to the light passing through it. Each top is unique, the colour and patterns may vary, which is what makes this collection so charming. The top is combined with three powder-coated steel legs in Mineral blue colour. The feet attach to the top easily without tools thanks to their vice system. The aim of this creation is to reverse the initial lifespan of the material. We go from a product used for an extremely short, ephemeral period (yoghurt pots or packaging) to a noble, robust object. The Pacifico table stands the test of time and is designed to be functional for several generations!It’s a circular process: we transform a pre-existing raw material, which itself can be recycled again at the end of its life. Going beyond recycling, Pacifico is an exceptional piece that makes you completely forget the primary function of plastic. The Pacifico table is 100% produced in Europe and France.
