Description

This Riva round parasol has a strong, contemporary aesthetic, finished with a teak wood frame. The parasol is easy to open and close thanks to its easy-up winding system to create the perfect shade in your garden, patio or balcony. Durable design The parasol has a strong and durable fabric canopy. The robustness of the parasol is further enhanced with the tension springs that keep the fabric taught, secure, and looking its best. Premium-class fabric The parasol is made from premium-class fabric, which is water-repellent and dirt-resistant, protecting you from the elements and the sun's UV rays. We suggest using a cover to protect your parasol while not in use to maintain its quality. Stable base The Ceramica Grey 40kg Wheeled Parasol Base is the perfect base for stability. This base is suitable for all Riva parasols. The base has lockable wheels on all four corners for easy manoeuvrability, enabling the parasol to be positioned and secured where needed. Topped with a beautiful Concrete Effect Ceramic tile for a contemporary finish, this base requires filling with approximately 25kg of sand to ensure the stability of your parasol against the elements. This is simple to do, and the parasol comes with clear instructions. Cover and storage bag Comes with a Parasol Aerocover to protect your free-arm parasol. The cover features a sewn-in rod for easy placement, and it's water-resistant and provides UV protection. This cover is compatible with small free-arm parasols.

Our Stylist Says

The Pacific Riva parasol is a sleek and versatile addition that brings a touch of contemporary sophistication to outdoor spaces. I love how the teak wood frame adds warmth and texture, contrasting beautifully with the anthracite canopy for a modern yet natural look. It works particularly well in coastal or Scandinavian-inspired gardens, as well as in stylish terraces and patios seeking a functional focal point. Practical styling tips include pairing it with woven or rattan furniture for a relaxed vibe, or contrasting it with minimalist accessories to emphasise its clean lines. When not in use, a neutral-coloured, easy-to-assemble cover keeps it looking fresh, while the simple base makes it easy to reposition without cluttering the space.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
