Description

The Riva Teak Round Centre-Pole Parasol has a strong, contemporary aesthetic. It's easy to open and close thanks to its easy-up winding system, and swivel castors make it more mobile so you can create the perfect shadow in your garden, patio or balcony. Durable design The parasol has a strong powder-coated aluminium frame in a teak finish, with a strong and durable fabric canopy. The robustness of the parasol is further enhanced with the tension springs that keep the fabric taught, secure, and looking its best. Premium-class fabric The parasol is made from premium-class fabric, which is water-repellent and dirt-resistant, protecting you from the elements and also the sun's UV rays. Stable base The 40kg Black Granite Wheeled Parasol Bases for centre pole parasols are fitted with powder-coated aluminium tubes and water drainage. The unique adapter system ensures parasols with a tube diameter up to 48mm are always kept straight and the anti-slip system ensures that the parasol can not spin in the wind. Cover and storage bag The Parasol Aerocover is made from a breathable, water-resistant fabric that reduces condensation and helps prevent mould and mildew from building up. It also provides UV protection, perfect for year-round protection. It's fastened with strong and lightweight ripstop polyester. A handy storage bag is also included, which fastens with a drawstring and 2 stoppers to ensure a tight fit.

Our Stylist Says

I love this umbrella for its versatile, modern look and durable build, making it a great addition to both contemporary and coastal-inspired outdoor spaces. Its anthracite grey colour lends a sleek, understated elegance that pairs well with natural tones and muted palettes, while the teak pole adds a touch of warmth and texture. This parasol works especially well in relaxed gardens, patios, or terrace areas, providing practical shade without overwhelming the aesthetic. For styling, consider pairing it with rattan furniture, neutral cushions, or even minimalistic accessories to create a cohesive, effortlessly stylish outdoor retreat. Its large size and robust base make it reliable for daily use, while the cover adds practicality for off-season storage or protection during bad weather.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
