Description

This Challenger T2 is a free-arm square parasol offering a stylish and deluxe design, engineered with comfort in mind. Double tilt system T2 parasols offer a double tilt system, ensuring the full movement of the parasol without any movement of the base. You can tilt the parasol from side to side or backward and forward, and it can be held easily at any angle by simply locking it into place with the handy lever. The parasol can be moved around 360 degrees in a smooth and easy action, guaranteeing shade wherever you desire. Durable design The mechanism of the parasol is durable stainless steel and encased in a strong powder-coated aluminium housing, meaning no rust or corrosion. The durability and strength of the parasol are further enhanced with its robust powder-coated aluminium pole and the tension springs that keep the fabric taught, secure, and looking its best. Premium-class fabric The parasol is made from luxurious premium-class, water-repellent and dirt-resistant fabric, protecting you from the elements and the sun's UV rays. The fabric has been solution-dyed, giving it the advantage of keeping its colour for a lot longer than most other parasols on the market. Stable base The Ceramica Grey 90kg Wheeled Parasol Base is the perfect base for stability. It is wheeled on all four corners, enabling the parasol to be positioned and secured where needed. It is topped with a beautiful Concrete Effect Ceramic tile for a contemporary finish. To ensure durability and stability, the base should be filled with 60kg of sand to withstand the elements. This is simple to do, and the parasol comes with clear instructions. Cover and storage bag Comes with a Parasol Aerocover to protect your free-arm parasol. The cover features a sewn-in rod for easy placement, and it's water-resistant and provides UV protection. A handy cover storage bag is included.

Our Stylist Says

I love this parasol for its clean, modern look that instantly elevates outdoor spaces. Its 3m square shade provides excellent coverage, making it practical for both residential patios and casual commercial settings. The champagne colour lends a neutral, sophisticated tone that works well with a variety of colour schemes and materials - think natural woods, sleek metals, or colourful textiles. Its tilt and free-arm feature offer versatile shading options, making it adaptable throughout the day. For styling tips, pair it with minimalist outdoor furniture or vibrant cushions to create a relaxed yet polished aesthetic. It’s a versatile piece that effortlessly blends functionality with contemporary style.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
