Description

In a reinterpretation of the classic DAW Plastic Chair, Charles and Ray Eames created the white PACC Plastic Armchair with a functional swivel-base armchair perfect for office use. Designed by Charles and Ray Eames, their original design was the first mass-produced chair crafted from fibreglass. The design of the plastic shell used for the Eames PACC Chair was first presented in 1948 at the Museum of Modern Art's 'Low Cost Furniture Design' competition, and grew to become one of the most recognised icons of mid-century furniture design. Since the 1950s, the plastic Eames armchair's organically shaped shell has been combined with different bases and produced in its millions. This re-edition from Vitra has a recyclable polypropylene shell that conforms to the body's shape. Featuring a pivot function alongside an adjustable height, the star castor base allows easy movement and makes the Eames PACC chair an ideal choice for an office or workspace.

Our Stylist Says

This white plastic armchair is a versatile piece that works well in both modern and minimalistic workspaces, offering a sleek, clean look that doesn’t overwhelm a room. I love how its simple, sculptural shape adds a touch of contemporary style without being fussy. It’s particularly practical for home offices or creative studios, thanks to its lightweight build and on-casters, which make moving it around effortless. For styling, consider pairing it with a colourful or textured cushion to soften its look, or place it alongside natural wood or metal furniture for a balanced, functional aesthetic. It’s a smart choice for anyone looking to bring a fresh, no-nonsense vibe to an office or study area.
