I’ve been using the Owen table in plenty of living rooms and really rate it for its clean lines and lightweight feel. The black-oak top and slim hairpin legs suit both Scandi-inspired schemes and more industrial settings, so it adapts to a range of colour palettes without overwhelming the space.
Styling tip: anchor the centre with a low tray for remotes and a candle, then layer on a small stack of design books and a sculptural ceramic vase. Its slim profile makes it easy to slide under a cosy daybed or pair with a low-pile rug, while the raised legs keep the floor visible and the room feeling airy.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
