Organic shape reminiscent of a pebble. Textured and unstructured lines. The Ostia handmade wool rug is a natural addition to any living space, adding beauty and character. Product Details • 100% wool • 3400g/m2 • Thickness: 2.3cm • Weaving type: Handmade • Underfloor heating compatible: Yes • Interior Use: Yes • For outdoor use: No. Quality Info • Wool is a warm and comfortable fibre. A wool rug is also an excellent thermal and sound insulator. • Hand-braided, each piece is unique and may have small irregularities which make it authentic.. Colours and dimensions may vary slightly. Care advice • Once unrolled, you must wait a few days for the carpet to return to its initial shape.. • To keep the edges flat, roll your mat in the opposite direction. Leave it like this for an hour then put it back flat and place a heavy object on it for 2 days. • New, the carpet may give off an odour which dissipates over time. Remember to regularly ventilate your room to reduce it. • To preserve its appearance, rotate your rug regularly in one direction or the other to minimise localised wear in the same places (due to successive passages), and loss of colour due to regular light. Care Advice • Some materials are very fibrous (like wool) and you can actually observe pilling in the first weeks of use. : this is normal because the carpet "bursts" by rejecting its excess fibres. Remove lint as much as possible by hand and do not use the vacuum cleaner in brushing mode as this will pull the fibres and tear them out.. The pilling will improve over time. • For maintenance, we advise you to vacuum it very little the first month and then to vacuum it without rubbing too much always without using the brush. • Compatible with robot vacuum cleaners: No • Remove stains immediately with a clean, damp cloth • Dry clean recommended. Dimensions • Ø160cm • Ø200cm • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification scheme monitors textile products for harmful substances through an independent, international certification scheme.
I love this pebble-style wool rug for its understated texture and organic shape, which makes it a versatile addition to various interiors. It works particularly well in neutral or minimalist spaces, adding softness underfoot without overwhelming the decor. Style it with low-slung furniture or layered with other natural textiles for a cosy, relaxed vibe. Practical tips include placing it in a living room or bedroom to create a focal point, and pairing it with muted tones or subtle patterns to let its shape and texture stand out. Its wool composition also ensures durability and comfort, making it a practical yet stylish choice for both contemporary and rustic interiors.
