Description

Designed in-house and handmade by skilled craftsmen in India, the Orrico rose gold hammered aluminium side table is a sleek, statement design that will be the talking point of your home. Due to it's handmade nature, each table is unique. It's finished with hundreds of tiny hammer marks on its surface, which catch and reflect both artificial and natural light creating a striking iridescent effect. Surprisingly lightweight, it will bring originality to your home and create a strong focal point as either a side table or bedside table. Part of the Orrico collection, it is also available in different sizes and finishes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this rose gold hammered side table for its bold yet sophisticated look; it works particularly well in contemporary or industrial interiors. Its metallic finish adds a touch of glamour and reflectivity, making it ideal for brightening up a neutral scheme or adding visual interest to a monochrome space. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral-toned furniture to let it stand out, or using it as a statement piece in a clutter-free corner. It’s versatile enough to serve as a side table next to a sofa or bed, or even as a stand for decorative items like vases and candles to maximise its visual impact.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
