Description

The Orrico hammered aluminium side table is a statement design, created by our in-house team and handmade by skilled craftsmen in India. Each table is unique and its iridescence derives from hundreds of tiny hammer marks on its surface, which catch and reflect the light. Surprisingly lightweight, it makes a strong focal point as a side table or bedside table and complements a variety of furniture styles. Part of the Orrico collection, it is also available in different sizes and finishes.

Our Stylist Says

The hammered aluminium side table is a versatile piece that adds a subtle touch of sheen to various interiors. I love how its silver finish and textured surface bring a contemporary edge while remaining neutral enough to complement both minimalist and eclectic decor styles. It works particularly well in modern, industrial, or even Scandinavian schemes, effortlessly blending form and function. For styling, consider pairing it with metallic or glass accessories to enhance its reflective quality, or soften the look with cosy textiles on top. Its sturdy build makes it practical for use as a bedside table or accent piece in a living room, providing both visual interest and functional surface space.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
