Description

The Orrico copper hammered aluminium coffee table is a statement design, created by our in-house team and handmade by skilled craftsmen in India. Each table is unique and its iridescence derives from hundreds of tiny hammer marks on its surface, which catch and reflect the light. Surprisingly lightweight, it makes a strong focal point and complements a variety of furniture styles. Part of the Orrico collection, it is also available in different sizes and finishes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this hammered copper coffee table for its bold, modern aesthetic and its versatile metallic finish. It works particularly well in contemporary, industrial, or eclectic interiors, where its warm copper tones add a cosy yet stylish touch. When styling, try pairing it with neutral sofas to let the metal truly stand out, or mix with textured fabrics and natural fibres for a layered look. Practical tips include using trays or coasters on its surface to protect the hammered finish, and pairing it with simple accessories or greenery for a balanced visual appeal. It’s a statement piece that combines functionality with a touch of luxe.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
