Description

With its convenient L-shaped design and tapered legs, the Orla Kiely Mimosa large chaise sofa really knows how to maximise space. Boxy in shape, defined by clean lines and slim arms, it brings a modern feel to any living room, whilst bolster cushions give a subtle nod to traditional style. Available in dark, neutral and vibrant hues, the sofas fabric is smooth and contemporary, but two additional scatter cushions add a touch of retro charm in your choice of playful print. Perfect for stretching out or socialising, youre sure to find your new favourite spot as you sink into the foam and fibre filling of the Mimosa. Our Stylist Says

I love this pink corner sofa for its bold colour and vintage-inspired design, which can serve as a statement piece in both modern and eclectic interiors. Its sculptural shape and curved details add visual interest, while the plush fabric makes it inviting and comfortable. This sofa works particularly well in spaces that embrace colour or have a playful, relaxed vibe - think minimalistic rooms with a pop of pink or more maximalist schemes with mixed patterns and textures. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral or patterned cushions to soften the look, or add metallic accents like brass lamps or side tables to elevate the aesthetic. Its versatile corner design makes it perfect for creating cosy zones in open-plan living spaces or for maximising seating in medium to large rooms.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
