Description

A chic seating choice that makes the most of surrounding space, the Orla Kiely Linden Large Chaise Sofa features a modern L shape thats perfect for propping up tired feet. Available in a selection of vibrant, subdued or dark hued fabrics, you can easily create the perfect piece to compliment your living room. Made to last and built with comfort in mind, the sofa benefits from curved armrests, foam and fibre fillings, and two additional scatter cushions in your preferred signature prints. Classic button-back detailing and tapered legs provide the stylish finishing touch. Equally ideal for classic cosy lounges or eclectic looks with playful character.

Our Stylist Says

The Orla Kiely Linden sits perfectly in both contemporary and eclectic interiors, thanks to its bold yellow fabric and clean-lined silhouette. I love its versatility-adding a splash of colour to neutral schemes or complementing other statement pieces in a lively, layered space. Its generous size and left corner configuration make it ideal for socialising or relaxing with family. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with textured cushions or throws in contrasting hues or patterns to create visual interest without overwhelming the room. Keeping accessories minimal and sleek works well here, allowing the vibrant fabric to be the focal point. Practical tips include placing it near a window to enhance the colour and using a low coffee table to keep the space feeling open and inviting.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
