Description
Conceptualised by legendary designers Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen in 1940, the Organic Chair in red boldly experiments with organic shapes and vibrant colour. A cutting-edge design for its time, the chair maintains a contemporary feel, and exemplifies the ethos of the Eames works: incorporating simplicity, comfort and functionality. The hopsack fabric upholstery covers the laminated shell seat, and rests upon sturdy black-stained beech legs. Celebrated for their innovative and cutting-edge designs, Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen first submitted the Organic Chair as a joint entry to MOMA's Organic Design in Home Furnishings competition in New York.
