Description

Designed in house and exclusive to Habitat, the Oregan 6-10 seat oak extending dining table is an elegant, contemporary design with feature legs. Crafted in Europe from solid oak and oak veneer, the table top has subtle curves to elongate the chamfered edges and gives it a stylish twist. The table's extra leaf is stored underneath the table top for convenience and can easily be taken out to convert the table from a 6 seater to a 10 seater. Complete the look with the Oregan dining chair which comes in a variety of finishes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this table for its clean, timeless oak finish and practical extendable feature, making it versatile for both everyday family meals and larger gatherings. It works well in contemporary, Scandi, or rustic interiors thanks to its simple, natural aesthetic and sturdy construction. When styling around it, consider pairing with minimalist or upholstered chairs for a sleek look, or mix in some colourful accessories or mats to add personality. Its extendability means you can keep the overall look understated and functional, while still accommodating larger groups when needed - perfect for flexible living spaces or open-plan dining areas.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
