Description

If you are looking to add something original and eye-catching to your home, the Song Cabinet with 4 Doors is exactly the piece. The bold orange paint, surrounded by natural splits and distressed patches, is a bold statement to infuse into your dining area, setting the tone for adding other unique items. With plenty of storage space and the area on top to display accessories and more, the Song Cabinet with 4 Doors is a functional and characterful choice that will never go out of style.

Our Stylist Says

This one-of-a-kind song cabinet is a standout piece that injects colour and character into both modern and eclectic interiors. Its vibrant orange hue makes it perfect for adding a pop of colour in a neutral living room or hallway, while the robust wooden construction lends it a timeless appeal. I love pairing it with rustic or vintage-inspired decor, where its unique finish can really shine. Practical styling tips include layering with neutral accessories or incorporating contrasting textures, such as woven baskets or sleek ceramics on top. This piece works well as a statement sideboard in dining areas or as a colourful storage solution in living spaces, making it both functional and visually appealing.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
