THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY - "OLO CONCRETE" WAXED CONCRETE TABLESNatural concrete displays a raw, handcrafted look. Each table is unique, marked by irregularities typical of a living material that are not defects. The appearance of Concrete can change over time. Care and stain sensitivityEach table is treated with a water-repellent agent that limits theabsorption of liquids without making it totally waterproof. Concrete is porous and easily stained: Clean up any liquid immediately. Don't wait for a stain to dry (wine, coffee, tea, cola, oil...). It will become permanent. Use a soft Cloth and neutral Soap, then rinse with Light water. Avoid acidic, degreasing or abrasive products. Microcracks and heat Fine micro-cracks may appear, due to the natural drying of Concrete and variations in temperature and humidity. These cracks are unavoidable, have no effect on strength, and are part of the natural behavior of the material. They can be partially resorbed over time, as Concrete reaches full stability. Small air bubbles or cavities may be visible: these are the result of artisanal molding and reinforce the raw character of the product. If the table is exposed to temperatures over 40°C, the concrete may crack further: avoid proximity to any source of direct heat (radiator, intense sunlight, hot appliance, dish coming out of the oven). Humidity and halos Concrete continues to dry and equilibrate for several weeks. Moisture halos or variations in tone may appear, then fade naturally. If a flat object (book, Tray, Vase) is left for a long time, it may leave a mark: move it and let the material breathe so that the trace disappears. Variations in shade and texture Each Table is handcrafted, so there may be slight differences in color or finish between models. These variations, due to the natural constituents of Concrete, contribute to the authenticity and uniqueness of each piece. Recommendations for use Interior use only. Avoid thermal shock and direct Sun rays. Always use coasters and Placemats. Do not cover the surface with a waterproof Tablecloth or Tray for the first few weeks. Clean only with lukewarm water and mild Soap.
