Our large, break-fronted Upton Console Table is perfectly sized to act as a sideboard in the kitchen, dining room or in a large hall. Painted a dramatic black with a solid weathered oak top and a useful shelf below it is a great and useful addition to a larger-scaled room.

I’m a fan of this Upton console for its blend of a warm oak top with a matt-black base, which adds instant character without overwhelming a space. Its clean lines and turned legs suit both modern classic and relaxed country interiors, making it a versatile piece in hallways or behind sofas.
For styling, keep the top pared-back: a slim table lamp on one side balanced by a low vase or shallow tray on the other. Use the lower shelf for woven baskets to store scarves or magazines neatly, and hang a mid-sized mirror or a pair of simple prints above to complete the look.
