Description

Our Taika Cushion Cover is handwoven from 100% natural tussar silk, cultivated in the forests of India's Bastar and Assam. The striped pattern is crafted using an ancient Indonesian printing technique called Batik, which involves melting wax onto the silk and then pouring the green dye over the top. Once the wax is removed it leaves a stripe of the natural colour in its place that has not been saturated with the dye. Due to the artisanal techniques used, each piece will have individual characteristics that add to their charm.

Our Stylist Says

The OKA leaf green cushion cover is a versatile piece that adds a fresh, natural touch to any interior. I love how its subtle botanical hue lends itself well to both contemporary and traditional schemes, especially when paired with neutral tones or earthy textures. It works particularly well in living rooms with layered textiles or bedrooms aiming for a calming, organic vibe. For styling tips, try mixing it with patterned cushions in complementary shades or adding a textured throw for depth. Layering different sizes and styles of cushions will enhance the relaxed, curated look that this cover naturally lends itself to.
